Born
in Korea, Ms. Kim obtained an MA in Art
Education from the University of Illinois
at Urbana-Champaign in 1991 and her MFA
from SUNY at Stony Brook in 1994. Kim has
been producing art based on personal imagination
and eastern philosophies. Her major works
of art include handmade books called Artist
Books and wrapped sculptures. She has exhibited
in numerous shows including
solo exhibitions at Stephen Gang Gallery
in Manhattan, Kougeas Gallery in Boston,
and has had exhibitions at Oregon State
University, Ohio State University and SUNY
at Stony Brook. Currently, Kim teaches studio
arts at New Jersey City University, Bronx
School of Music and Art, and the Cultural
Center of Korea in New Jersey.
